We are excited to showcase this absolutely gorgeous Tanzanite Ring created by Jay Lubeck for our lovely client, Connie. The journey to create this piece began when Connie purchased the Tanzanite in Tanzania years ago and brought us the stone back in June, entrusting Jay with the task of designing a custom-built anniversary ring. Sitting in a platinum setting, the gem is beautifully encircled with a diamond halo. We are truly honored to have played a part in creating this gorgeous ring.
The Tanzanite gemstone has been relativily recently discovered. Tiffany & Co named this blue-violet gem in honor of Tanzania, where it was first unearthed in 1967. Only found in Tanzania, Tanzanite became popular with leading jewelry designers practically overnight. The instant popularity of this transparent blue-to-violet gem is tied to its vivid color, high clarity, and potential for large eye catching cut stones.
